Here is some original music made by Jake South titled Poly-Tune with animations in time to the music. I used Trapcode Sound Keys to generate key frames to drive some of the values of the plug-ins Trapcode Tao, Trapcode Mir, and Element 3D.
Here is a short video of Rainbow Woods in Bath. I used my DSLR for the timelapse and a Gopro Hero 3+ Black on a gimbal for some smooth shots. Unfortunately the Gopro has some exposure and colour problems now. So I had to pick and choose the shots that didn’t go too funny and applied RE:Vision Effects Match Color which helped in Premiere Pro. The photos for the timelapse were edited in Lightroom then brought into After Effects to scale them down and animate.
A weather cloud made with Trapcode Particular. The cloud, rain, and snow are on there own Trapcode Particular layer. The rain and the snow both have aux particles for the rain drop splashes and the snow settling. The sun is a lens flare from Optical Flares.
Here is another character made with Trapcode Tao in Adobe After Effects and inspired by Hank the octopus from Pixar’s Finding Dory. Created with animated Tao lights and the repeat paths option for the tentacles. Trapcode Particular was used for the ink.
Another character made with Trapcode Tao in Adobe After Effects, this time a Penguin. Made the same way as the Snail and the Robot with Tao lights. Trapcode Mir was used for quick and simple ice bergs in the background and Element 3D for the one that the penguin is standing on.
A retro logo animation with Element 3D. The mountains in the background are done with Trapcode Mir and the stars with Trapcode Form. The Tron Light Cycle was made in 3DS Max and it’s light trail is made with Trapcode Particular. The TV model is from The Pixel Labs free Vintage pack which was imported into Element 3D. The retro look on the TV screen was done with Red Giant Universe.
Been experimenting with Mandelbulber for Linux. Mandelbulber is free software for creating 3D fractals. Mandelbulb 3D is also available for free on Windows and Mac.
