Earth Melting Animation

An animation of the Earth heating up and melting when it gets too hot. In After Effects I used a fractured sphere in Element 3D with an Earth texture applied to it. I animated the sphere from one point to another point where it was flat, then using the levels and a blur effect added to the Element 3D layer to make it look like a liquid. The effect CC Mr Mercury was used on the Earth texture to make it look like the Earth was sweating! The thermometer was created using shape layers and a wipe transition.
