Puzzle Cube Animation

My attempt at creating a Rubik’s Cube animation in After Effects with Element 3D. I used the basic cube in Element 3D to make the collection of cubes, that make up the puzzle. The colour panels were made with an extruded mask. For the animation I had to use two copies of the puzzle, one for the vertical and one for the horizontal.
